Today the conditions of our lives are changing in concerning ways, and at breathtaking speed. But we also have extraordinary access to the best of human thought and experience.

Addressing our widespread challenges requires us to draw on these resources. It calls for us to come together and take the time to examine our most fundamental assumptions about who we are and what it really means to live well.

We can then hope to cultivate wisdom and develop a shared basis for action that supports human flourishing.

My current and previous work

I host a podcast called In Good Faith. This is where I share my own reflections as well as invite guests to learn from their perspectives.

I also host a live programme called Club Revelation. This is where I review passages from the Quran and attempt to make its lessons accessible to participants and relevant to our situation today. I finished memorising the Quran in 2006 and have studied its interpretation and the Arabic language from a young age.

Previously I have developed and taught popular courses on prayer and leadership.

From 2021-2024, alongside my educational efforts, I was cofounder and Trustee of Funders In Good.

From 2012-2021, I was Chief Executive of National Zakat Foundation. For my work there, I was awarded an MBE for Services to Tackling Poverty & Community Development. Whilst at NZF, I studied for an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management at Bayes Business School.

From 2006-2011, I worked in investment banking as an equity research analyst.

I graduated in 2005 from Cambridge University, where I studied Economics and Management.
